MEET THE ARTIST

Nithyanand Shankar is a self-taught artist, currently based out of Bangalore, India. His work is inspired by Indian themes and presented in a contemporary form. The beauty of everyday life – of places and people that one would otherwise walk by, is what captures his imagination.

His works are marked by ochre tones and earthy colours with occasional dashes of crimson and vermillion to strike a contrast and catch the viewer’s attention. Themes of serenity commonly feature in his work with experiments in realism as well as abstraction. He has sold artworks across the world including several commissioned pieces.
